Egyptian Day

Egyptian Day

To conclude our learning on Ancient Egypt we had an awesome Egyptian Day. We all dressed up like Egyptians, mummies, and slaves – even the teachers

We also got to taste some Egyptian foods like prunes, hummus (semi Egyptian), grapes, marshmallows and banana chips – we were surprised by how tasty the prunes were.

All classes in the senior school rotated to rooms 11, 12, 13, and 14.

In room 11 we rotated to room 12 first and had an awesome time

with Mrs.King.

First we had an awesome time playing around with

the javelin! (At least we didn’t cut off our heads!:)

Then also played lots of games of tug-of-war!!!

Then in Room 13 we made some bracelets that were made out of

Cardboard. Egyptians used these with a powerful amulet in the

middle. After that room11 went to room14 and made some amazing

Egyptian bookmarks!!! At the end of the day all classes had a game

of tug-of-war!!!

DID YOU KNOW THAT THE ANCIENT EGYPTIANS USED TO PLAY TUG OF WAR AS A GAME TO WORK OUT WHICH TRIBE WAS THE STRONGEST.
