Rainbow Fish Art

The Rainbow Fish is an award-winning book about a beautiful fish who finds friendship and happiness when he learns to share. The book is best known for its morals about the value of being an individual and for the distinctive shiny foil scales of the Rainbow Fish.

We listened to the audio book on you tube first, it is told by the famous actor Ernest Borgnine.

Here is how we did our art.

1.First we did a draft in our drawing books and Miss Mills showed us how to add the fins and tail. We then drew on our scales and eyes.

2.Then we drew our pencil outline onto cartridge paper and drew over it with vivid.

3.Next we coloured our scales with pastel then we put tin foil on some scales and glitter on others.

4.The last step was to dye the background blue.

Our art work looks amazing. We are going to put them on our classroom windows to show everyone how amazing and vibrant  we are.
